Are you heard of Assassin Creed 2, Command & Conquer 4 and Silent Hunter 5? These are the latest game produced by two famous Game Producer Ubisoft and EA Games. But, in order to play one of these game, you need to connect to internet not only during the launching of game but during the play also.

image To avoid any interruption, make sure you have a continuous internet connection to each games’ respective authentication servers. Fail to do so (unplug your Ethernet cable or suffer from the server down on EA or Ubisoft’s part) would cause the games cease to function.

For a developing country like Malaysia, internet access would not be available everywhere. In case, i want to play Assassin Creed 2 in my relative’s house which has no internet access, would it mean that i need to wait until i find somewhere with internet access? It could cause so much of inconvenience to games enthusiast like me.

Each time you want to play the game, you are required to log into Ubisoft’s server with your password and username. Just like other online game, you would need to update the data or install a patch whenever there is an update of the game. Fail to do so, AGAIN you’re dropped unceremoniously to the desktop.image

It’s so oblivious that this is one of policy ran by Ubisoft & EA Games to fight the pirated activity. But, in your opinion, does this antipiracy scheme would reach its goal? OR, it just keep chasing away potential buyers of these games? I leave no comment here.
