Before i jump into the today’s topic, i would like say thank you to those who help to clarify for me as Hitechblog was claimed to have serious technical problem by an anonymous reader.

For your information, i have many assignment to do recently so i may not have much time to search for information on software and computer. But by coincident, i have a conversation with my brother  today about the issue of compatible of computer’s processor to 64 bit operating system. My brother mention about the 32 bit operating system (X86 based)(windows vista/7) may only support maximum 3GB ram as he was told by one of his friend. But with a 64 bit operating system, you can boost your computer’s performance with higher ram capacity.

In case, you want to know whether your computer’s processor support 64 bit operating system, here i come to give you some information.

First, go to Control Panel

—>type Performance information and Tools in the search box

—>Click on the View and print detailed performance and system information for Windows 7 OR View and print details for Windows Vista

—> In the System section, you will see whether your computer is capable to 64 bit operating system

In my opinion, 2GB is enough for normal use in Windows 7 as Windows 7 consume lesser ram usage. If you want to maximize your computer’s performance (gaming), you may try to upgrade to 64 bit Windows 7 and install higher ram to your computer.
